Surah Name: Al-Isra Meaning: The Night Journey

Waqada rabbuka alla taAAbudoo illa iyyahu wabi(a)lwalidayni ihsanan immayablughanna AAindaka alkibara ahaduhuma aw kilahuma fala taqul lahuma offin wala tanharhuma waqul lahuma qawlan kareema(n) And your Rabb-SWT has decreed that you should worship none but Him-SWT , and show kindness to parents; and if either of them or both of them attain old age with you, say not unto them: pooh! And browbeat them not, and speak to them a respectful speech. (17:23) |
Wa(i)khfid lahuma janaha a(l)ththulli mina a(l)rrahmati waqul rabbi irhamhuma kamarabbayanee sagheera(n) And lower unto them the wing of meekness out of Mercy, and say: Rabb-SWT ! Have Mercy on both as they brought me up when young. (17:24) |
Rabbukum aAAlamu bima fee nufoosikum in takoonoo saliheena fainnahu kana lilawwabeena ghafoora(n) Your Rabb-SWT is the Best Knower of what is in your souls; if you have been righteous, then He-SWT is unto you Penitent, Forgiving. (17:25) |
وَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَى حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلاَ تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا Waati tha alqurba haqqahu wa(a)lmiskeena wa(i)bna a(l)ssabeeli wala tubaththir tabtheera(n) And give you to the kinsman his due, and also to the needy and wayfarer; and squander not in squandering. (17:26) |
إِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُواْ إِخْوَانَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِرَبِّهِ كَفُورًا Inna almubaththireena kanoo ikhwana a(l)shshayateeni wakana a(l)shshaytanu lirabbihi kafoora(n) Truly the squanderers are the brothers of the devils, and the Devil is ever ungrateful to his Rabb-SWT . (17:27) |
Waimma tuAAridanna AAanhumu ibtighaa rahmatin min rabbika tarjooha faqul lahum qawlan maysoora(n) And if you turn away from them awaiting a Mercy from your Rabb-SWT which you hope, then speak to them a gentle word. (17:28) |
Wala tajAAal yadaka maghloolatan ila AAunuqika wala tabsutha kulla albasti fataqAAuda malooman mahsoora(n) Let not your hand be chained to your neck, nor stretch it to forth to its extremity, lest you sit down reproached ,impoverished (17:29) |
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا Inna rabbaka yabsutu a(l)rrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru innahu kana biAAibadihi khabeeran baseera(n) Verily your Rabb-SWT extends the provisions for whom He-SWT Will, and measures it out; He-SWT is in respect of His-SWT creatures Aware, Beholder. (17:30) |
